RES Exam - Syllabus changes
Please note that the RES examination syllabus has been revised in Jan 2014 and will apply for the May 2014 and subsequent RES examinations. There is no change to the scope of topics covered in the revised RES examination syllabus compared to the old syllabus. The revised RES examination syllabus has more detailed elaboration on the relevant topics to enhance practical knowledge. Rules, regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to real estate agency practice have been updated in the revised syllabus. Learning outcomes and expectations of cognitive levels for each learning outcome is introduced in the revised syllabus to facilitate ACPs and RES examination candidates to better appreciate the level of understanding that is required for each topic.
There is some re-organisation of topics between the RES Examination Papers 1 and 2 to group associated topics under the same competency unit and to achieve a well balanced coverage for both papers following the revision of the RES examination syllabus. Table 1 below shows the list of topics in the old andrevised RES examination syllabus.
